"Iran and Venezuela should boost interaction, be aware of Imperialism's plots and make efforts to seal recent developments in favor of regional countries," said President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad in a phone call with Venezuelan counterpart Hugo Chavez.



"Iran and Venezuela sharing views will stand by each other and defend nations' rights," he added.



Chavez on his part said the two countries share positions on regional and international developments and that, "no doubt that further consultations can influence management of the developments."



They also highlighted expansion of mutual ties as well.
