At a joint press conference on Sunday with Qatari Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Aal-e Thani in response to a question about the US and Zionist regime threats, the president said the Zionist regime weakness and the US incapability in the international and domestic arena has put them in a situation that they cannot threat the powerful and resistant Iranian nation.



Referring to the Zionist regime failure against the Palestinian and Lebanese resistance and the increase of the regime's domestic problems, Dr. Ahmadinejad said the Zionists should know that any action against Iran is tantamount to wiping out the regime from the scene of existence.



Referring to the US military weakness Dr.Ahmadinejad said: "Today the US army in Iraq and Afghanistan has faced with serious problems and there is no reason for confronting with Iran.



He also pointed to the deep and brotherly relations between Iran and Qatar and noted that Tehran and Doha have very close stances on different international and regional issues including Iraq, Afghanistan and Palestine.



Qatari Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Aal-e Thani referred to the issues agreed on in his talks with Dr.Ahmadinejad and said we hope the agreements will lead to solving the regional problems and that the regional countries will live in sustainable security and friendship.



The Qatari Emir also termed the Gaza siege as the most important issue of Islamic world and noted that Iran and Turkey have played a significant role in helping the Palestinian and Gaza people.
