Iran and Uganda signed three cooperation deals during President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad’s visit to the country.

The documents pertain to Iran’s assistance to the development of Uganda, sanitary, pharmaceutical and medical cooperation as well as a document overseeing the agreements reached between the two countries.
Based on the last document, a 7-member committee will be formed to pursue the implementation of the agreements earlier signed by the two countries.
A joint political communiqué was also inked by the presidents of the two states.
Heading a high-ranking politico-economic delegation, the Iranian President arrived in Kampala Friday on the last leg of his two-nation tour which had already taken him to Harare, Zimbabwe.
