Speaking at Mehrabad Airport, at the end of his one day visit to Russia to attend SCO summit meeting, President Ahmadinejad told reporters that the SCO will find its real position in security and economic affairs, because countries like Russia and China as members and Iran and India as observer members are in it.



He reminded that since the year 2005, Iran has attended the meetings of the SCO as an observer.



He said that in the meeting, important regional and world issues were discussed and recommendations were given on bilateral and multilateral ties.



Referring to the world economic crisis and developments, Ahmadinejad added in the 9th summit meeting all participants believed that the existing mechanism does not work anymore and for getting rid of the crisis, the world needs a new solution.



The president added that issues like regional problems, fighting against radicalism and providing security in vast areas of the Central Asia were discussed in the meeting and Iran, as a powerful and effective country presented its viewpoints in these issues.
