President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad arrived here Friday after a two-day visit to Tajikistan to attend the 8th Shanghai Cooperation Organization summit in Dushanbe on August 28.

Upon arrival in Tehran Mehrabad Airport, First Vice-President Parviz Davoodi and a number of state and military officials welcomed the president.
Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki, Energy Minister Parviz Fattah, Vice-President and Head of the Cultural Heritage,
Handicrafts and Tourism Organization Esfandiar Rahim Mashaie, Senior Presidential Advisor Mojtaba Samareh Hashemi and Majlis deputies Hamid-Reza Haji-Babaie and Assadollah Badamchian accompanied the president in his Tajikistan visit.
On the sidelines of the 8th SCO Summit, President Ahmadinejad met and conferred with a number of his counterparts, including Russian President Dmitry Medvedev, on expansion of bilateral relations and on regional and international events.
