Dr Hassan Rouhani pointed out in this meeting, "With many services being provided through electronic means, such as paying water, electricity and gas bills and health insurance, good efficiency has been achieved in people’s time and cost of living”.

Dr Rouhani added, "Considering the continuing spread of coronavirus, it is necessary for the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology to prepare their plans for the new academic year by using the experiences and achievements of teaching courses in radio and television and the internet”.

“In this regard, if a resolution is needed to reform and upgrade the country's educational networks, the National Centre for Cyberspace will review and submit it to the Supreme Council,” said Rouhani.

Physical distancing should be considered an important principle, he said, adding, "The Ministry of Communications and Information Technology has a heavy responsibility to develop networks for public access and use, which must be done more quickly with the cooperation of service providers”.

Dr Rouhani added, "Creating and providing access to a secure and inexpensive national information network has always been emphasised by the government, and we must work in this regard".

The President also acknowledged the services and valuable role of Dr Larijani, former Speaker of the Islamic Consultative Assembly, in the meetings of the Supreme Council of Cyberspace, and welcomed Dr Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, Speaker of the Eleventh Assembly, who attended the meeting for the first time.
