Smart Social Distancing must be implemented from Saturday with close monitoring and full observance of health protocols

After receiving separate reports from the ministers of 'Interior' and 'Health and Medical Education' on the implementation of the Smart Distancing Programme from Saturday and the reopening of low-risk businesses in all provinces except Tehran, the President stressed that the programme must be closely monitored, and all health protocols announced by the Ministry of Health must be fully observed.

The activity of low-risk businesses in Tehran is also scheduled to begin on April 18.

In the conversation, the Minister of Health and Medical Education presented a report on the latest situation in Tehran and other provinces and the level of readiness and evaluation of the implementation of the Smart Social Distancing Programme.

Speaking with Dr Saeed Namaki, President Hassan Rouhani stressed the need for coordination with other agencies and strict and serious monitoring by the Ministry of Health to make sure that all health protocols are observed by low-risk businesses during the implementation of the project.

Minister of Interior Dr Abdolreza Rahmani Fazli also presented a report on the work of the Security and Social Committee and emphasised the readiness of the Ministry of Interior to implement the Smart Social Distancing Programme.

The President called for more coherent coordination between the Ministry of Interior and the Ministry of Health to advance the Smart Social Distancing Programme and the reopening of low-risk businesses from Saturday, saying, "All health protocols must be fully and precisely implemented and observed in these businesses, public places and especially in public transportation".
