President in a meeting with Imam Khomeini (RA) Hospital managers and staff through videoconferencing:

Certainly, Iranian people appreciate the efforts and dedication of country's health personnel/ Gov't doing its best to cooperate with healthcare personnel

The President had a meeting with the managers and medical staff of Imam Khomeini (RA) Hospital in Tehran on Sunday through videoconferencing, and was briefed about medical services provided to patients infected with the coronavirus.

Dr Hassan Rouhani also spoke to managers of various departments of Imam Khomeini (RA) Hospital, including the Infection Control Specialist of the hospital, Deputy of Treatment, Deputy of Education and Research, and the hospital's Assistant Director and Nursing Director, about their needs and problems.

Dr Rouhani praised the efforts and dedication of the doctors, nurses and medical staff of Imam Khomeini (RA) Hospital and other medical centres throughout the country, saying, "The tireless efforts and services of doctors, nurses and medical staff in this country at this time are very valuable".

The President added, "Imam Khomeini (RA) Hospital is one of the most important hospitals in the country and has a great responsibility in providing health services to the people in the face of difficulties".

Dr Rouhani said, "Certainly, the Iranian people appreciate the efforts and dedication of the country's health care personnel at this critical juncture".

The president said that the relative calmness that exists in the country today despite the spread of coronavirus is due to people's trust in the country's health care sector.

Dr Rouhani said, "Fortunately today, there is a relative calmness in the society because people know that if, God forbid, they get the disease and the virus, the medical staff and the dedicated doctors and nurses are on their side".

The President emphasised, "The government will do everything in its power to provide equipment and facilities, as well as supporting health care personnel".

Pointing out that all people should care about their health without any unreasonable sensitivity, adding, "It is the people who need to help themselves the most, and the health and treatment officials have to find a way to show people that we can leave this difficult time behind us".

The President said, "I appreciate all the doctors, nurses and medical staff in the country".
