Governor generals of Hormozgan, Khuzestan, Bushehr, Sistan & Baluchistan and cities in other provinces with temperatures higher than 45 degrees were authorised to change working hours to 6:30-13:30.

Also, all executive organs were required to manage their energy consumption in summer to save at least 10 per cent energy compared to the same period last year.

All industrial and agricultural units that possess generators with over 100kw were also required to use their generator capacities in the first two months of summer from 12:00 to 16:00, and Ministry of Petroleum was required to provide their needed fuel.

The government also requested the Islamic Consultative Assembly (parliament) to prioritise the bill on protecting children and teenagers.

Discussing regulations for the country’s 1397 budget, the cabinet went on to approve a number of regulations regarding new, unfinished, finalised and operating projects, among others.

The government also approved a new code of law for the 1397 budget, in order to support investment in developing and promoting the use of information and communication technology in the country, creating operators providing electronic services in all sectors and supporting projects and developmental plans for employment or exporting goods in this section, based on which credits will be allocated.

The Council of Ministers also discussed and approved allocating 1.7 trillion rials of credit and loans to areas hit by the recent natural disasters.
