During his meetings last night and today with the Presidents of Turkey, Venezuela, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan, Dr Hassan Rouhani emphasized the need for the Islamic world to pay serious attention to the situation of Muslims who have been affected and displaced in the Rohingya, ​​Myanmar.

A statement by the Islamic countries attending the Organization of Islamic Cooperation Summit on Science and Technology expressed deep concern over the crimes and violence against Muslims in the Rohingya region and called for the immediate cessation of the attack on Muslims in the region.

The heads of states attending the summit also emphasized the need for collective organization and cooperation of Islamic countries to send humanitarian aid to the affected and displaced.
