Transfer of Capital and technology and joint export, Iran’s priority in cooperation with Europe, especially Italy / Italian Foreign Minister: Italy seeks promotion of ties with Iran

Touching upon the European Union huge capacities, Italy in particular, for fostering relations with Iran, President Rouhani reiterated that the transfer of capital and technology to Iran and then joint export to regional markets are the priority of Iran for reinforcing economic relations with the European countries.

President Rouhani made the remarks in a meeting with Italian Economic Development and Foreign Ministers on Wednesday.
Pointing to Iran-Italy ancient-old relations, he added there is no hindrance on the way of fostering mutual cooperation and the two countries could open a new chapter of mutual relations in various fields of political, economic, cultural, scientific and tourist.
President Rouhani underlined that the ground is fully prepared for attracting foreign investment in the fields of energy, banking, insurance, industry, transportation, health as well as sanitation.
President Rouhani also thanked the Italian prime minister for the invitation, adding that he would travel to Italy in proper time.
Dr.Rouhani stressing on development cooperation to strengthen stability and security in the region, said that the issue of terrorism and insecurity is like a contagious disease that does not belong to a specific area.
'Following the nuclear agreement reached between Iran and P5+1, Tehran is feeling a heavy burden on its shoulder.' President Rouhani added.
Dr.Rouhani expressed Iran’s will for establishing peace and stability in the region.
By submitting the message of the official invitation of Italian Prime Minister to the President Rouhani, Paolo Gentiloni, the Italian foreign minister, has considers his visit to Iran, the development of relations.
Emphasizing the presence of high political and economic delegation accompanied Paolo Gentiloni hoped that cooperation and consultation between the two countries in various fields, can contribute to investment in Iran's interest to both countries.
Italian foreign minister declared his country's preparedness to help invest in and transfer of technology to Iran in all fields including the oil and gas industry.
Iran has a key role in establishment of peace and stability in the region and the international community needs Iran's help, Reniz added.
Referring to the geographical situation of Iran along the Silk Road, he urged joint investment of Tehran and Rome for production and export of goods to other regional states.
